Chief Executive

Co-founder of Whitman Howard and Chief Executive Officer, Richard has over 25 years of experience in Equity markets, latterly as Head of Equities at Numis Securities where he was one of the original management team. During his time there, he was responsible for building and shaping their UK secondary business, as well as founding their successful US Equities division. Having originally qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Richard is passionate about equity ownership and working alongside other entrepreneurs to help build and develop their businesses.

Non-Executive Chairman

James Lambert has extensive quoted company experience at the highest level. As Chief Executive of Richmond Foods plc, James successfully listed the business and grew it to the leading position within its industry. He managed the subsequent merger with Roncadin GmBH to form R&R where James also led the executive board. R&R's success was recognised by The Sunday Times PWC Profit Track, where R&R was ranked first in 2011. Awarded OBE by The Queen in 2013, James was also named EY UK Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013. James currently chairs the boards of Animalcare plc, Burtons Biscuits and Wagg Foods Limited.

Head of Corporate Finance

Ranald co-founded Whitman Howard in 2011, prior to which he had spent 20 years working in the City primarily as a Corporate Broker. Ranald joined Hoare Govett in 1989 and worked on a wide range of listed and private companies advising on all types of corporate transactions. Ranald was responsible for smaller company corporate business within, what was for ten years, the highest regarded smaller company advisory franchise in London. Ranald joined the board of Hoare Govett in 2005 and continued to advise a number of businesses.

Head of Smaller Company Sales

Prior to joining Whitman Howard, Araminta was a buy-side analyst with a thematic asset manager. Prior to that she was an Associate Director at Numis Securities, where she focused on small to mid-cap companies across a broad sector range. Having been involved in many corporate issues and placings across a range of sectors, Araminta has extensive knowledge and experience of the small-cap institutional investor client base.
